  1. Dear Keith,

Marianna Harris suggested that you might be interested in writing a short Spirited Reflection for KAIROS.

Would you be interested and willing to write a Spirited Reflection of a social justice nature tied, where possible, to a lectionary or biblical text for an upcoming Sunday? KAIROS posts 500 – 800 word Spirited Reflections each week to the front page of its website as well as to its Facebook page. The reflections are typically received on Fridays eight days before the Sundays for which relevant lectionary texts may apply.

Samples of Spirited Reflection are found on our website at http://www.kairoscanada.org/reflections-worship/spirited-reflections/. KAIROS tries to accent or call attention to the reflection for its nationwide with a high resolution image illustrating something related to the reflection itself – that will call attention to it. Reflectors are encouraged to submit their own high resolution image (with photo credit, if not in the public domain), along with a one sentence bio on you the reflector.

“We should write because through writing we reflect God”, so says Jayne Self (http://presbyterianrecord.ca/2014/09/01/why-christians-should-write/).

If you would be interested and available to reflect theologically from a social justice angle and share your reflection with nationwide readers to nurture and encourage such meditation or inspire homilists, please contact me.

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Jim

Jim: I have a suggestion for another writer for you. Keith Simmonds in Duncan. This is from his blog.
http://www.keithsimmonds.ca/truth-to-power/thats-enough-now/#more-276. I don’t think it would take much to make it into a reflection for KAIROS.
I’ve copied him so you can e-mail him if you like. Marianna Harris
